Spring Break in Wilmington...Part One

Since we've been slacking off on the whole blogging thing lately, we figured it was about time to give you guys an update. Last week, we had the opportunity to get out of town for a couple of days and we chose to go to none other than my (Lauren) favorite city in North Carolina: Wilmington! It was Kahly's first time visiting, but from what I've gathered, it won't be her last! Most of our trip was spent tracking down all of the filming locations for one our favorite television series, "One Tree Hill". The show wrapped up filming last year, but most of the places that were used remain in the city. Unfortunately, some of the more popular spots have since been removed, but it was still fun getting to explore the different areas. Most of you have seen the photos on Facebook already, but I figured I'd share a few more.

Day 1: The Bridge (seen in the opening credits of the first few seasons, as well as a few of the later episodes).

^
It was such a windy day. The picture above was just a random "oh i'm gonna take a picture, but don't actually expect it to turn out well" photo, but we felt the expressions on our faces pretty much summed up how we were feeling at that point.

Day 2: Clothes Over Bro's, Naley's Table, Tree Hill High, Peyton's House, Brooke's House, Lucas's House

^
What used to be "Clothes Over Bro's"

^
Table where Nathan and Haley have their first date

^
Location used as the backdrop for Tree Hill High (actually part of Cape Fear Community College)

^
Peyton's House

^
Brooke's House

^
Lucas's House...and the door to his bedroom (at least on the show)

Day 3: The Rivercourt (basketball court used repeatedly throughout each season)

^
Or a least where it used to be....Unfortunately, as soon as filming wrapped, the court was removed. Now all that remains is a large, dry patch of grass and our remorse for the deserted area we once knew as the rivercourt.

Along with all of these locations, we found several others, but didn't have a chance to photograph them. We were also on the hunt for actual celebrities (Wilmington's known for them), but no such luck in that category either. Regardless, getting to stalk down one of your favorite tv shows with your best friend, who loves it just as much as you do, doesn't happen everyday, so i'm completely content, and enjoyed everything we ended up getting to see :)

...Keep an eye out for Part Two
